Your 3D Delegates
September 1, 2010by Mary Andersen
The business part of the Convention is over! Our 3D President Ralph Peterson chaired the law committee and his job never seemed to end with all the amendments to the amendments to the amendments to the resolution (you had to be there)! This was my first International Convention and it was educational, entertaining and a great way to meet folks from other parts of the country. I am looking foward to Fargo and hope I get to go. We had two guest speakers one of whom was a motivational speaker who discussed branding, name recognition among other things while the other speaker provided some interesting information on the challenges facing fraternal organizations. The break out sessions were great too! The social media breakout session was packed, extra chairs had to be brought in.
The hotel is in a great setting; some trivia for you, the huckleberry is the state fruit and it is delish; kind of like a blueberry with the tartness of a raspberry or strawberry; I am now a huckleberry fan.
One of the things I really like about our convention is seeing all the banners. Included among the banners were Faerder who will be celebrating their 100th anniversary next year and Norsk Carolina one of newest lodges on display. They all looked great!!! Thanks for bringing them!!!
these are neat little dogs; great personality.
Committees were busy and then a brief break from business to
